Mrs. Edith Julia (Osborn) Hicks, 48, wife of Jesse Hicks, RR 2, northwest of Battle Ground, d. Wed eve at 6 in the contagious department at St. Eliz Hospital of Spinal meningitis. B. in Cherokee co, Iowa, she was married Sept 4, 1911. She was a member of the Church of God. Besides her husband, she leaves 5 sons, Lester V and Fred C of Lafayette; Jess O of Monticello, Epl Leslie AAF now in Italy and Harold at home; 7 daughters, Mrs. Thomas A. Franks, Mrs. Robert A. Faustich, Mrs. Leonard F Carter and Mrs. Cleo H Ewing all of Laf; Mable Maxine, Julia Helen and Donna Jean at home, also four brothers, Henry Osborn, Harley, La; George Osborn Fairmount, ND Jack Osborn Los Angeles, Cal and Lester of Coffeyville, Kan and a sister, Mrs. Ray Honeywell, Los Angeles.
